Job Title: Ground Segment Engineer

Serco is a leading provider of space services, with a strong track record of supporting over 50 space missions on behalf of numerous space and government agencies worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Segment Engineer to join our team in Toulouse, France.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Ground Segment Engineer to support the design and development of ground segment evolutions, including the procurement and follow-up of EUSPA developments, contribution to design documentation, and participation in ground segment evolution development reviews. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing ground segment sites hosting infrastructure development contracts, including providing technical specifications, reviewing technical documentation, and managing requirements in DOORS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and development of ground segment evolutions, including the procurement and follow-up of EUSPA developments.
  • Contribute to the design documentation, including DDF and functional chains.
  • Participate in ground segment evolution development reviews and CCBs relevant to the tasks under responsibility.
  • Manage ground segment sites hosting infrastructure development contracts, including providing technical specifications, reviewing technical documentation, and managing requirements in DOORS.
  • Analyze CR/CCN relevant to ground segment and support CCBs.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Space Engineering.
  • 2-10 years of relevant experience in ground segment design and development in the space industry.
  • Experience in GNSS, particularly on Galileo and EGNOS, is a strong asset.
  • Experience with COMSEC items and PRS information is a strong asset.
  • Experience with DOORS is a plus.
  • Availability to go on missions.
  • Comfortable working in a diverse and multinational team environment.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain an EU Security Clearance.
