About the Role

HEC Paris is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join its Data, Accreditations & Rankings team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for professionalizing data management within HEC Paris, ensuring data quality, and facilitating access and usage of data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Governance
    • Define and implement policies for effective and cross-functional data management.
    • Standardize data governance across HEC Paris through the establishment and animation of a data owner network within business units.
    • Develop and implement data normalization and historicalization methods.
    • Deploy data governance across HEC's departments by animating a network within each department.
    • Raise awareness among business units on the importance of data quality and explain best practices.
  • Data Analytics and Visualization
    • Facilitate access and usage of data across HEC Paris by creating and providing dashboards and analyses for various business units.
    • Develop and implement data analysis and visualization tools with IT teams.
    • Deploy solutions and methods to all HEC Paris entities, establishing a network of relays.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with IT teams to develop and implement data analysis and visualization tools.
    • Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure data governance and analytics initiatives are aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a data-related field (Bac+4 minimum).
  • At least 3 years of experience in data management, including analysis, dashboard creation, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience in deploying data governance policies within an organization.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English (C1 minimum) and knowledge of the higher education sector are assets.
