- Oversee interactions with regulatory bodies, including relationship management, information centralization, and preparation for audits.
- Contribute to the implementation and oversight of ethical standards, compliance measures, and risk management practices.
- Convert regulatory compliance requirements into actionable internal policies and procedures.
- Assess vulnerabilities and risks related to financial compliance, legal, environmental, reputational, and operational factors.
- Maintain and update risk assessments, identifying key control points.
- Aggregate incident reports, analyze findings, and present insights to management while providing training for operational teams.
- Promote awareness and training for management and staff regarding compliance issues, internal controls, and associated risks, ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with the legal department and Chief Risk Officer to advise on regulatory applications and internal control implementations.
- Engage in enhancing governance processes and methodologies within the organization.
- Participate in investigations and audits conducted by regulatory authorities.
- Conduct preliminary assessments of compliance for operations, services, or new products, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
- Identify areas for enhancement and manage corrective action plans.
- Assist in the validation of compliance reports across various departments.
- Draft regulatory submissions and reports for compliance, audits, and due diligence.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and update internal policies in response to regulatory changes.
- Act as the liaison for anti-money laundering efforts with relevant authorities.
- Collaborate on cross-departmental initiatives such as internal control automation and compliance reporting.
- A degree in Risk Management or Compliance, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding of compliance principles, regulatory obligations, and governance in financial markets.
- Fluent in English, with excellent analytical, organizational, and risk management skills.
- Registered with RCSI.
