We are seeking a Trainee - Virtual Assessment of Hydrogen Storage System Straps for Tanks

Our department is in search of a Trainee - Virtual Assessment of Hydrogen Storage System Straps for Tanks for our R&D Center.

The Bavans R&D Center, with a dedicated team, focuses on developing cutting-edge solutions for sustainable and clean mobility. It serves as Faurecia's global hub for expertise in hydrogen storage systems.

Internship duration is 6 months.

Mechanical simulation through finite element analysis is crucial in the development of hydrogen storage systems, enabling the delivery of reliable and robust products.

As part of the engineering teams, your responsibilities will include:

Crafting a comprehensive methodology that spans modeling, testing validation, and post-processing for straps used in hydrogen storage systems. Validating the correlation between simulation outcomes and experimental results.

You will tackle significant challenges

Your tasks will encompass:

Defining load cases for strapped tanks and selecting the most critical scenarios. Establishing test specifications for components and subsystems to characterize mechanical behavior. Overseeing testing processes from planning through to analysis of results. Conducting test versus finite element analysis correlation to assess confidence levels and enhance CAE methodologies. Facilitating knowledge transfer through guideline documentation and internal training sessions.

What if this opportunity is for you?

Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Interest in CAE methodologies (solver: Abaqus/Ls-Dyna, preprocessor: Hypermesh). Dynamic, collaborative, and eager to learn. Interested in testing methodologies. Possess strong analytical and synthetic skills. Curious and self-motivated. Proficient in English (minimum B2 level).
