RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will be responsible for the following tasks:
During the procurement phase:
- Assume responsibility for procurement activities under the guidance of the Project Manager and Project Control Manager, including managing the contracting process from initiation to final approval.
- Report to the Project Control Manager to ensure adherence to Contract and Procurement protocols and maintain consistency throughout the tendering process.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all contractual and commercial documents handled.
- Demonstrate exemplary conduct in compliance with HSSE regulations and implement HSSE requirements in all contracts managed.
- Prepare contracts in alignment with company procedures and project timelines, including the development of tendering documents and managing the evaluation and negotiation phases.
- Coordinate the finalization of all contractual, commercial, and technical documentation.
- Report any issues encountered promptly.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure effective execution of procurement activities.
- Manage contract execution and oversee any contractual and commercial modifications in accordance with established procedures.
- Participate in meetings with contractors regarding change orders.
- Verify contractor progress in collaboration with the Planning Lead Engineer and Budget and Cost Leader.
- Ensure payments align with reported progress.
- Monitor contractor remuneration and assist in preparing payment certificates and invoices.
- Engage in meetings with contractors and other necessary discussions as required.
- Assist in resolving disputes alongside legal, insurance, and finance teams.
- Oversee the close-out of contracts in accordance with company procedures.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks associated with project interfaces.
- Maintain accurate records of contractual matters and monitor key deadlines.
- Contribute to the development and revision of project budgets based on actual expenditures.
- Manage all contractual and commercial activities related to assigned contracts, ensuring compliance with all procedural obligations.
The project involves significant offshore operations with a focus on extending the life of existing facilities and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Qualification: Engineer or equivalent.
- Languages: English mandatory; Portuguese is a plus.
- Professional Experience: 15-20 years in the Oil & Gas sector, particularly in Offshore Projects.
- Relevant project experience: Approximately 10 years with a strong engineering background in flexible engineering and fabrication.
