- Acting as a subject matter expert on compliance regulations, providing timely guidance to effectively manage compliance risks.
- Monitoring regulatory changes and identifying their implications, including enforcement actions and new laws affecting the business.
- Assessing the impact of complex regulatory developments, particularly those with cross-border implications.
- Engaging in industry forums and working groups to stay abreast of best practices.
- Leading high-impact projects and initiatives with a focus on delivering effective solutions, including the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
- Overseeing responses to regulatory examinations and inquiries, ensuring thorough preparation and compliance.
- Evaluating risks associated with business decisions, emphasizing the importance of ethical conduct and adherence to laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of compliance laws, regulations, and risk typologies.
- Strong written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams across global functions.
- Experience managing regulatory examinations and fostering relationships with auditors and examiners.
- Familiarity with local and international regulatory requirements.
- Relevant certifications are advantageous.
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree with experience in compliance, legal, or related fields within financial services or regulatory organizations; advanced degrees are a plus.
