About the Job

Sabena Technics is a leader in the aircraft retrofit market, developing approximately 10 Supplemental Type Certificates and 100 Minor Modifications each year.

We offer a wide range of aircraft and rotorcraft modifications in the Cabin/Avionics/Structure disciplines. As a holder of design and production approvals, our division is responsible for engineering activities, certification dossier elaboration, equipment/supplier monitoring, and modification integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Elaborate certification packages for Minor Modifications or Supplemental Type Certificates under DOA, focusing on ATA11, 25, 26, 33, 35, and 38.
  • Collect and review justification documents, perform Means of Compliance issuance, and participate in testing activities at aircraft level.
  • Act as the focal point for Aviation Authorities (EASA, FAA, and other NAA) for technical topics during modification certification processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in a technical discipline, preferably with aerospace education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in DOA as a certification engineer for aeronautical activities - Cabin safety.
  • Good knowledge of aircraft environment and architecture, avionics systems, and equipment qualification processes.
  • Familiarity with DOA Process (Part 21J) and certification process, as well as EASA Regulation CS25.
Language Skills

English (professional level) and French (desirable).

Relational Skills and Attitudes

Rigorous, organized, and able to coordinate activities and communicate effectively. Team spirit and open-mindedness are essential.
