We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our EMEA Equities team, reporting to the Co-Head of Global Equities risk. The successful candidate will provide risk management oversight of the Equities business in EMEA, covering one or more of the EMEA Equities trading desks, and work with other colleagues across the entire Equity business on global risk initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide coverage for a broad range of topics, from portfolio reviews to capital planning, stress testing, risk infrastructure changes, or regulatory responses with the PRA/Fed/OCC etc.
- Close interaction with the trading desk and other risk and support groups (i.e. Finance, Quants, Technology) while maintaining independence. Derivative product knowledge and quantitative skills are necessary.
- Review and challenge trade proposals, new product initiatives and limit changes within Equities, providing recommendations to senior management. Contribute to market risk management governance and control improvements.
- Solid academic background with an honours degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or other numerate subject
- Knowledge of financial markets and derivative products, whether in Equities or another asset class
- Experience in Market Risk Management or in a related function in front office.
