Job Title: Senior Operations Manager in Logistics

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently in search of a Senior Operations Manager in Logistics for a prominent logistics organization.

The Senior Operations Manager will be tasked with overseeing logistics services while prioritizing customer satisfaction and financial outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the management team and supervisors, fostering employee initiatives through a collaborative approach;
  • Ensuring operational performance targets are achieved (on-time delivery rates, customer satisfaction metrics...);
  • Serving as the primary contact for site clients regarding all safety issues in a complex environment;
  • Monitoring daily delivery objectives and work-in-progress levels;
  • Considering site delivery targets in all decision-making processes;
  • Developing the annual budget and executing actions to meet financial goals;
  • Analyzing discrepancies between operating expenses and budget through Monthly Operational Summary reports;
  • Managing site labor relations, including discussions with employee representatives;
  • Promoting safety awareness and skills enhancement within the team;
  • Increasing service margins and revenue;
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
Profile

The ideal candidate should possess a technical or management educational background along with demonstrated experience in managing a logistics profit center for industrial clients.

The candidate must exhibit a strong history of managing logistics operations from managerial, social, commercial, financial, and technical perspectives.

As an experienced manager, the desired candidate should showcase proven leadership, diplomatic, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Independent and detail-oriented, the candidate should be adept at managing financial performance and client relationships.

Ultimately, the ideal candidate should be versatile, hands-on, and proactive in operations, actively participating in various projects and tasks.
