We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager Purchasing to join our team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. As a key member of our global organization, you will be responsible for leading and monitoring purchasing activities, including timely sourcing, vendor budget management, time planning, quality assurance, and risk management.
You will work closely with cross-functional product development teams and stakeholders around the world to deliver high-quality products and services that meet customer needs. Your strong analytical and logical mindset, combined with excellent communication skills, will enable you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and monitor purchasing activities, including sourcing, budget management, time planning, quality assurance, and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products and services.
- Develop and implement effective project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with Volvo Group's procurement policies and procedures.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- University degree in Engineering/Technology and/or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in Purchasing/Project Management, preferably in the Automotive industry.
- Experience in managing large complex projects, with a strong track record of delivering results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical and logical mindset, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Knowledge of Agile product development methodology and experience with data analysis tools, such as Power BI.
