Job Title: Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry Section Leader
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demi Chef de Partie to lead our pastry section at Mövenpick Resort Phan Thiet. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the pastry section, supervising junior pastry chefs, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in all pastry items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie Pastry in managing the pastry section and supervising junior pastry chefs.
- Ensure all pastry items are prepared and presented to the highest standards of taste, quality, and consistency.
- Help in the development and implementation of new pastry concepts, recipes, and menu items in collaboration with the Chef de Partie Pastry and other kitchen staff.
- Assist in ordering, receiving, and coordinating the use of all necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment required for pastry preparation.
- Ensure all food safety and hygienic practices are strictly followed in the pastry section of the kitchen.
- Maintain accurate records of pastry stock levels, food wastage, and other relevant data.
- Actively participate in the training and development of junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- A diploma or degree in culinary arts, patisserie, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working in a reputable restaurant or hotel pastry section.
- Technical knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and kitchen equipment.
- Some experience in developing and implementing pastry concepts, recipes, and menu items.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
