Sales Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to develop sales in France and for export, primarily in Europe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:- Business Development: Identify, prospect, and develop new clients in France and Europe.
- Commercial Project Management: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve growth objectives.
- Technical Expertise: Enhance the image and reputation of WATTALPS through technical expertise and consulting.
In collaboration with the commercial and general management, you will:
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients.
- Participate in national and international trade shows and ensure follow-up.
- Contribute to the development of technical and commercial communication materials.
You will also be responsible for:
- Analysis and reporting: Monitor and document market trends and competitor activities.
- Update and maintain dashboards and commercial indicators for sales forecasts and performance.
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Requirements:
- Significant experience of 5 to 10 years in similar roles.
- Proven expertise in managing complex sales projects, especially with OEM or integrator clients.
- Knowledge of one or more target markets would be highly appreciated.
Education:
- Either in commerce and/or marketing supplemented by technical training (electricity, mechanics, energy, etc.) or substantial experience and understanding of technical products and environments.
- Or technical (engineer, high level technician, etc.) supplemented by commercial and/or marketing training or experience.
Language Skills:
- Fluent in spoken and written English; German is a significant advantage.
Attributes:
- Hunter/developer profile, capable of handling the pressure of long sales cycles.
- Ability to adapt to the constantly evolving environment of a start-up.
- Team player with a variety of different stakeholders.
Location:
This position offers a unique opportunity to be based in France, Germany, Scandinavia, or The Netherlands. With the expectation of frequent travel around Europe, especially in France, this role promises a dynamic experience.
