Job Title: Capital Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Capital Project Manager is responsible for managing professional architectural or engineering services for capital construction or facilities maintenance projects. This includes managing multiple engineering disciplines, project scope, and building code standards. The successful candidate will provide professional expertise to the Office of Facilities Support Services, Colleges, and governmental agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage professional architectural or engineering services for capital construction or facilities maintenance projects.
- Manage multiple engineering disciplines, project scope, and building code standards.
- Provide professional expertise to the Office of Facilities Support Services, Colleges, and governmental agencies.
- Inspect, observe, and monitor construction projects to evaluate quality, adherence to time schedule, and compliance with construction plans and specifications.
- Review, approve, and process pay documents for professional consultants and technical contracting firms.
- Develop and maintain documentation of and for projects, including final archival record documents.
- Organize and conduct meetings with College Representatives, professional consultants, and technical construction contractors.
- Report results of meetings to the Director of Design and Construction on a regular basis.
- Assist College staff in the development of programming needs for building projects and the gathering of predesign information necessary for the implementation of capital construction projects.
- Prepare and/or review project budgets and schedules for capital projects.
- Supervise and monitor Capital Project Specialists as they accomplish the design and construction of capital projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Landscape Architecture.
- Four years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Licensed as a professional architect by the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects or licensed as a professional engineer by the State Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Eight years of relevant experience or equivalent.
