Job Title: Strategist Climate Change Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategist Climate Change Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for leading our climate action strategy, including developing and implementing a science-based carbon footprint reduction trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a climate action strategy, including a science-based carbon footprint reduction trajectory.
  • Lead the development of a circular economy roadmap and support business units in its implementation.
  • Monitor the company's alignment with the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities and support business units on taxonomy interpretation and roll-out.
  • Coordinate global greenhouse gas reporting campaigns and ensure alignment with reporting standards.
  • Raise internal awareness on climate change and develop training modules.
  • Support business units in their methodological approach to avoided emissions calculations.
  • Organize the company's transition risk assessment and resilience action plan.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree from a recognized school/university, with a specialization in environmental sciences, climate accounting, monitoring, and modeling.
  • 5-10 years of experience in climate, sustainability, and similar fields.
  • Proficient in climate standards, regulations, and carbon footprint assessments.
  • Hands-on experience in leading projects and delivering results on-time and efficiently.
  • Ability to analyze and project data rigorously.
  • Autonomy in work organization and ability to network and influence operational and functional teams.
  • Fluent in English and German, with occasional travel to continental Europe.
