About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health Specialist to join our team at Amazon France Transport SAS. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and Amazon's policies.
  • Analyze data reports and root causes to provide leadership with the information needed to make informed safety-related decisions.
  • Provide guidance and support for health and safety projects and policies, and drive initiatives to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Travel within the region to support site-based activities and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
About the Team

Our WHS team is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and customers. We work closely with managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes and building design.

Requirements
  • Education to a degree level in a health and safety-related subject or an engineering degree with modules in Environment, Health and Safety legislation.
  • Professional training in a technical profession, preferably mechatronics or electrics.
  • Relevant experience managing projects and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and French.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  • Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
