About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Airline IT NDC team. As a key member of our Airline Distribution Solutions group, you will be responsible for driving the development of our airline IT solutions, including our NDC (New Distribution Capability) products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership
    • Define and share the technical roadmap and vision for the team
    • Lead the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries
    • Collaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance
  • Team Management
    • Accountable for the budget, performance, and results of the team
    • Influences the resource, budget, and policy planning and sets concrete development plans for team members
    • Develops plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • Business Acumen
    • Defines and shares the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to department/division/company objectives
    • Reports on team activities
    • Is accountable for the performance and results of a unit within own discipline or function
  • Communication
    • Ensures timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding company/organization information
Requirements
  • Education
    • Engineering degree in a related field
  • Experience
    • 7+ years of experience in IT with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Skills
    • Strong technical experience (ideally as a software developer, business analyst, or QA)
    • Ability to lead a heterogeneous international team (various engineering specialties and different seniority levels from junior to expert)
    • Good interpersonal skills and detail-oriented
    • Full professional proficiency in English
