Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Safety division, you will collaborate with a team of HSE Design engineers specializing in Safety, Risk Assessment, Environmental Health, and Noise & Vibration, focusing on various Technip Energies projects including oil and gas, petrochemical, energy transition, mining, and pharmaceuticals.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and assessing Major Accident Events,
- Developing and implementing preventive, control, and mitigation strategies,
- Ensuring safe design practices that protect personnel, the environment, and assets.
- Conducting preliminary risk assessments,
- Participating in safety reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, etc.),
- Reviewing plot plans and 3D models,
- Identifying Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) and their criticality ratings,
- Classifying hazardous areas,
- Implementing passive and active fire protection measures,
- Designing firewater pump stations and fire-fighting networks,
- Establishing detection systems for flammable and toxic gases,
- Ensuring personnel protection and planning escape, evacuation, and rescue strategies,
- Specifying and requisitioning firefighting and protective equipment, evaluating technical bids, and following up with vendors.
You are expected to produce high-quality deliverables while considering project constraints such as contractual obligations, budget, and timelines.
You may also be tasked with reviewing deliverables from other team members and supervising junior Safety engineers.
Additionally, you will be encouraged to share your expertise by facilitating training sessions, delivering technical presentations, and contributing to research and development initiatives.

Qualifications:
As a Chartered Engineer with a background in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Safety Engineering, you possess over six years of substantial experience in Safety engineering across industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, energy transition, mining, and pharmaceuticals. You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a multicultural environment. Your key attributes include energy, proactivity, attention to detail, autonomy, adaptability, strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and analytical problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in English is essential, and international travel may be required.
