Electrical Engineering Specialist H/F

As an Electrical Engineering Specialist H/F, you will play a pivotal role in the Renewable Energy sector, contributing to the advancement of our projects across various countries. You will report directly to the Head of Electrical Engineering and will be responsible for overseeing all electrical design activities for Renewable power plants, including Wind, Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Hydro.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Project-Oriented Activities:**
- Adhere to Engie RGBU's global Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards and ethical guidelines in all projects.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Utilities and relevant organizations to identify grid code requirements necessary for connecting Renewable plants to power grids.
- Conduct network calculation studies to ensure compliance with grid code requirements.
- Oversee the development of Preliminary, Basic, and Detailed Design studies for various power plant subsystems, including:
- High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) grid connection substations
- Overhead lines
- Step-up transformer packages
- Renewable power generation facilities
- Manage the issuance of deliverables related to design studies and ensure all calculations and specifications are completed accurately.
- Support the Tendering and Delivery phases of Renewable power plant projects in collaboration with other departments.
2. **Non-Project Oriented Activities:**
- Conduct technical qualifications and audits of key equipment manufacturers.
- Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements.
- Update technical guidelines and documentation based on lessons learned from previous projects.
- Act as a technical expert in PV Electrical Engineering within the ENGIE group, participating in technical meetings and reviews.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering (BAC+5) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record as a Lead Electrical Engineer on industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of the Solar PV, Wind, Battery Storage, and Hydro markets, including key players and technologies.
- Proficiency in network calculation studies and substation design.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial assets is advantageous.
