Position Overview:
As a Trading Data Scientist, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing innovative business use cases while rotating through various business divisions.
- Serving as a Data Science authority for GEM, focusing on tools and methodologies.
- Conducting market intelligence on Data Science trends.
- Collaborating with other ENGIE Data Science teams and initiatives.
Initial Use Cases:
Potential initial projects may involve:
- Optimization of trading and hedging strategies.
- Analysis of customer flow data.
- Management of comprehensive supply contracts.
- Strong academic credentials, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
- Experience in a commodity trading setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with power and gas market fundamentals is a plus.
- Exceptional research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate analysis into tangible value.
- Strong quantitative abilities.
- Proficient programming skills, particularly in Python; C# knowledge is beneficial.
