Job Title: Senior International Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior International Legal Counsel to join our team at Trainline plc. As a key member of our Legal team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth of our consumer proposition in France and Spain, as well as driving our strategy to become the go-to platform for international travelers across Europe.

About the Role:
  • Provide international legal support, with a focus on the French market, including consumer, e-commerce, advertising and marketing, data protection, IP, and commercial contracts.
  • Act as our French market counsel lead and work closely with the Legal Consumer and Product team to provide support on Spanish and US related matters.
  • Draft, negotiate and interpret commercial contracts, mainly in respect of Trainline acting as a customer when procuring services for the brand, comms and product and market research teams.
  • Manage Trainline's intellectual property portfolio and strategy, working closely with the Senior Legal Counsel.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in a similar role in an international setting.
  • French law qualified.
  • Strong general understanding of consumer law, e-commerce law, advertising and marketing law, data protection law and commercial contracts.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, including in respect of senior management colleagues.
  • Open to travel to our London and EU offices occasionally.
  • Fluent in French and English.
