Job Title: Support Officer for Asylum Seekers - Forum Réfugiés
Forum Réfugiés is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on welcoming, hosting, and assisting asylum seekers and refugees from diverse backgrounds to facilitate their administrative processes and integration within France. The organization offers legal guidance to individuals in administrative detention, advocates for human rights and democracy globally, manages a resource and training center for migration professionals and the public, and engages in awareness and advocacy initiatives to promote asylum legislation. Forum Réfugiés is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in its operations and recruitment practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the effective progression of asylum applications, ensuring access to social rights, and providing comprehensive administrative, legal, health, and social support to the individuals under your care.
- Guide individuals towards mainstream services while offering essential assistance.
- Maintain meticulous records of data and documentation concerning the support provided to individuals.
- Contribute to the management of communal living arrangements and collaborate with the volunteer network.
- Engage in initiatives that support the service and community projects of Forum Réfugiés.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Degree in Social Work (AS, ES)
- Desirable: Experience in social support services
- Strong understanding of asylum legislation and associated social rights
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities, teamwork, and diplomacy
- Ability to react promptly while maintaining confidentiality
- Proficient in computer applications
- Valid driver's license (travel may be necessary)
Location: CAES de Septèmes-les-Vallons
Employment Type: Permanent position available immediately
Compensation and Benefits: In accordance with the FEHAP51 collective agreement, non-executive classification, starting gross monthly salary of €2,193 (dependent on experience), in addition to fixed and variable benefits, health insurance, and employee benefits (meal vouchers, cultural offerings, etc.)
