Research Project: Semi-Classical Signal Analysis for Biomedical Applications
The Inria Saclay-Île-de-France Research Centre is seeking a PhD student to work on a research project focused on semi-classical signal analysis for biomedical applications. The project aims to study the mathematical properties of the semi-classical signal analysis method and compare it to state-of-the-art methods such as Wavelets and empirical model decomposition methods.
Main Objectives:
- Study the mathematical properties of the semi-classical signal analysis method
- Compare the method to state-of-the-art methods such as Wavelets and empirical model decomposition methods
- Investigate the use of the 2D-SCSA for the characterization of CT scans intending to identify vulnerable carotid plaques for asymptomatic patients
Expected Outcomes:
- Improved understanding of the mathematical properties of the semi-classical signal analysis method
- Comparison of the method to state-of-the-art methods
- Development of a new method for identifying vulnerable carotid plaques using CT scans
Requirements:
- Master's degree in signal processing, biomedical engineering, or a related field
- Strong background in signal processing and biomedical applications
- Good programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB
