About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer in Packaging to join our team at Suntory Holdings Limited. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating Plastic and metal closures for our Markets in Europe.

As a Senior Buyer in Packaging, you will manage timing, quality, costs, and sustainability in line with functional, business, region, and Suntory objectives. You will drive and optimize the procurement of subcategories, build and manage a supplier panel, and report your activity daily to the Procurement Category Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a budget and its cost optimization, setting budget standard prices for subcategories, monitoring purchase price variances, and delivering financial targets for the portfolio through negotiation activities and proactive optimization projects.
  2. Work on market insights, strategies, and development, developing and implementing strategies for the most strategic categories, improving the master strategy for other sub-categories, and doing regular follow-ups on market evolution to identify new risks and opportunities.
  3. Work on compliance, supplier performance, and risk management, preparing and contributing proactively to suppliers' regular reviews, maintaining risk analysis, developing framework agreements, and driving continuous improvement.
  4. Work on continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability, defining and monitoring a pipeline of value optimization ideas, supporting the organization in progressing on sustainable sourcing strategy, and engaging suppliers in ESG compliance.
  5. Work on Global sourcing and drive the activity, advising on strategy and best supplier options using market knowledge expertise.

Requirements

University degree level, technical, economical, or with a procurement specialization. Purchasing experience of at least 5 years. Languages: fluent in English, French. Spanish is a plus.
