Data Governance Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst to join our team at the Saint-Gobain Group. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving our data governance practices.
Key Responsibilities- Data Catalog Management: Maintain and update our data catalogs and data dictionaries to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Metadata Reference System Adaptation: Adapt our metadata reference system to meet changing business needs or create new data assets.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data governance processes and tools.
- User Expectation Analysis: Identify, analyze, and describe user expectations regarding data quality control (data quality rules).
- Quality Control Tool Implementation: Implement necessary tools for data quality control.
- Workshop Facilitation: Participate in and facilitate workshops with data stakeholders, documenting internal feedback, processes, and data management rules.
- Sensitization and Training: Participate in the development and implementation of training and sensitization programs for data governance.
- We are looking for a candidate preparing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Data Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is essential.
- Knowledge of database querying (SQL) is required.
- Experience with Big Data environments and DataViz tools is an asset.
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory.
- Knowledge of a data catalog tool like Collibra would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, analysis, and rigor skills.
- Appreciates working on cross-functional projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
