Banking Finance Partner for well-known French Law Firm BBBH55913_1738597380 Broad Banking Finance Partner Opportunity with well-known French Law FirmLocated in the heart of the City of Paris, an opportunity has arisen to support the wider work of this Paris law firm, famed particularly for its core strength in project development and energy, for a banking lawyer with various specialisms including, but not limited to, Project Finance and Real Estate Finance to join the firm as Partner.About the Firm:This firm is mostly concentrated in projects, infrastructure and energy, and is consistently ranked in Legal 500 for its first-class handling of legal matters thereto. The firm has a modest full-service set-up, including catering to the corporate, insurance, finance and public law sectors, in addition to its main staple of energy projects work. For the last 20 years, the firm has been a first choice for players in the energy and infrastructure industry.The atmosphere of the firm is both collegiate and professional, whilst being a comfortable place to work in terms of revenue expectations as compared to some of its more demanding peers. Whilst the firm boasts a very nice office in Paris it is quite common for lawyers to work on a more hybrid basis, as mutually suiting the staff and the servicing needs of their clientele.The firm is composed of 7 partners and 30 lawyers and is keen to expand its partnership numbers, partly as a natural progression as with any law firm and also due to the increasing needs of the firm's clientele. The firm is by no means top-heavy therefore, so continuous promotion and career opportunities are realistic. The Opportunity:The firm are currently urgently looking for a banking partner to advise clients on a broad array of financing matters including project finance and real estate finance-pertinent matters for the firm and its clients. This will be a very autonomous opportunity for the right candidate and in time will provide more managerial opportunities as the finance team grows. Such growth is a fundamental ambition of the team as its work-load increases, so this is more than just a good opportunity for partnership but also a great opportunity to play a part in the future expansion of what is already a well-regarded energy market player.The Candidate:Alongside serving their own portable clientele, the successful candidate will also be servicing the banking advisory needs of the firm's existing clients - due to the heavy energy projects focus of this firm the candidate must have experience of real estate finance and project finance. International experience of finance transactions is fundamental as is a history of servicing big name clients including banks and finance powerhouses generally. Any finance experience in deals or projects in the energy space would be useful, but not a prerequisite.The role would suit a Counsel-level tax lawyer with clientele looking for their break into an immediate partnership opening, or for an existing banking Partner looking for a whole new experience growing the banking and projects offering and contributing to the ultimate growth ambitions of the firm.
