Job summary
The EU Vendor Experience team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own global vendor sentiment. This is newly created, complex role with a large set of core responsibilities, numerous global stakeholders, and a clear mandate to drive innovation.

Amazon strives to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online. By giving customers more of what they want - low prices, vast selection, and convenience - Amazon continues to grow and evolve as a world-class e-commerce website. Core to Amazon’s mission to delight and serve customers is a need to invent on behalf of Vendors.

The EU-based Vendor Experience Team is a diverse and talented team with employees across Europe and with partner teams around the globe. This role can be based in Milan, Madrid, Munich, Berlin, Paris, London, or Luxembourg, and our team supports flexible working. Our team drives improvements in products, services, tools, processes, communication, and vendor education world-wide working with partner teams in Europe, North America, and Japan. We are responsible for all elements of a vendor’s interaction with Amazon including listing, ordering, supply chain, marketing, payments, value-added services, and vendor support. We work backwards from vendors, knowing that we must constantly accelerate the rate of innovation and defect elimination we perform on their behalves in order to ensure the best experience for Amazon’s customers.

Central to our ability to invent on behalf of vendors is our commitment to gathering and listening to their feedback. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our Voice of the Vendor strategy and implementation globally. This position will be responsible for the end-to-end process developing global surveys, running global benchmarking studies, and managing scalable internal tools to generate actionable data and insights. It will also be responsible for developing in partnership with our data engineering and technology teams the strategy and mechanisms for how this data is deployed internally. This data will be used at all levels of the organization from supporting individual vendor managers to eliminate defects for their vendors to informing global investment and development roadmaps for our business and technology teams. Further to this core responsibility, this role and the overall Vendor Experience team are tasked to identify and drive development of the next generation of products and services for vendors.

A day in the life
Amazon is data and anecdote centric. We drive insights from big data, but we strive to listen to each piece of feedback from customers and vendors. Driving reviews and developing this culture is your core daily and weekly responsibility. In a typical week, you will work with teams in NA, EU, and JP across the vendor sentiment value chain touching elements from user research to product development roadmaps. No day or week will look the same. You will feel support from your direct team with 5+ team and 1-1 touchpoints per week while also working independently with your partner teams.

About the team
We are a diverse team representing close to 10 nationalities and sitting across 5 European countries. Our goal is to be empathetic and inclusive. We are a team of talented, driven individuals who maintain a focus on career and business development while being unerringly pleasant to work with. People are our priority. We focus on people and team, knowing this focus is central to our long-term success.
