As an **Automation Engineer**, in our Catering Systems division, you will hold the following responsibilities:

- Responsible for electrical systems, automation, and industrial supervision in the Catering division.
- Responsible for leading the project design for one or several projects, depending on size and complexity.
- Organize, coordinate, and streamline the work of the design project teams internally and externally.
- Create technical specifications for offers, guaranteeing technical compliance with customer specifications and cost estimates (with the vendor manager).
- Prepare and follow up on project schedules, detailed design tasks, and resource planning for the project design activities, in accordance with the master plan.
- Responsible for design budgets.
- Approve design hours and design expenses.
- Ensure and follow up on coordination with the customer.
- Ensure and follow up on coordination with other parties involved in the project.
- Responsible for the technical decisions/solutions and ensuring they meet the project requirements.
- Responsible for submitting the finalized and checked documents to the customer.
- Ensure the design documentation (drawings/specs/material lists/manuals) meets the project requirements, Almaco’s standards, and internal needs, and is constantly up-to-date.
- Report design progress, non-conformities, and customer feedback.
- Act as technical support to the Contract Manager, Designers, and Purchase Manager during the life of the contract and for guarantee issues.
- Participate in the development of new products and innovations.
- Be actively involved in continuous improvements through processes and working methods as well as in ideas for product development and standardization.
- Organize regular technical project design reviews.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have:

- Fluent spoken and written English.
- An engineering education and good technical awareness in:

- Electricity
- Automation (and Supervision (Scada))
- Computing engineering (for server management in particular)
- IT expertise for server management and configuration.
- The ability to organize and prioritize ongoing multiple tasks.
- The ability to lead a team, a sense of responsibility, teamwork, interpersonal relations, and communication skills.
- Computer savvy: Autocad, Microsoft XLS, Word, Acrobat, etc.
- Open-minded, self-starter, able to take initiative and work in a fast-moving international environment.
- Commitment to quality.
