This position exists to serve Church members by providing places where they can worship, teach, learn, pray together, make, and renew covenants, and receive sacred ordinances. As a manager, you will ensure that meetinghouses are preserved and maintained at an appropriate level of quality for cleanliness and maintenance while balancing judicious use of sacred tithing resources. You will join a very dynamic and high-performance team committed to provide meaningful service experiences to members and leaders by strategic preparing and executing the operations and maintenance annual plan.
- Participate and oversees the preparation of annual plan and coordinate the assignment of work within the Facility Management Groups.
- Manages, leads, and develops 5-10 facilities managers to ensure performance quality measures are achieved in priesthood satisfaction, cost, quality, and timeliness
- Train facility managers in work processes, performance measures and boundaries
- Perform on-site reviews, inspect meetinghouses with the assigned maintenance teams to ensure compliances of Church Standards
- Ensure established financial and human resource controls are implemented and followed
- Resolve operational problems between field operations and non-facilities departmental management
- Report performance, identify potential risks or business challenges and recommend strategies to management
- Respond to changing priorities and tasks from management
- Strong commitment to the mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints (applicant must be a member with a valid Temple recommend)
- B.S. degree in facility management, business, or operations management with 10 years of accredited experience
- Proven experience in strategic leadership, staff, and budget management
- Ability to professionally communicate with church leaders, senior management, and other important stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to contribute to solve problems innovatively and decisively in a council setting
- C1 English level is required. French is a plus.
