The Global Sales Director will work closely with General Manager and Brand Team to create and execute sales and marketing strategy designed to launch and position Arev as top luxury hotel in St Tropez. This is also a hands-on role that requires leading the sales and marketing function and day to day management of the sales and marketing process.
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
- Identify target markets and sales opportunities across global luxury and lifestyle segments for all products and services of the hotel.
- Set ambitious sales and revenue targets and create and execute detailed sales action plan to achieve those.
- Identify and engage strategic partners to drive hotel revenue opportunities that deliver on hotel’s positioning, sales strategy, and revenue objectives.
- Create and maintain strategic account/action plans for each account that will include quota targets, customer engagement, key tactics to grow account revenue globally, annual & quarterly account reviews, promotions, and B2B marketing opportunities.
- Create and maintain Arev brand awareness globally through proactive sales missions, tradeshows/events, and hotel familiarization trips.
- Ensure a high level of exposure through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, and written communications.
- Work with Brand Team and selected brand partners where applicable to create a detailed hotel launch and marketing plan.
- Be responsible for Public Relations and media.
- Attend industry events representing Arev St Tropez and act as a brand ambassador for the Collection.
- Prepare Monthly Activities Reports and Production Reports when required.
- Set up and monitor all commercial contracts.
- Monitor reservations and customer profiles.
- Lead customers to Upselling (additional sales/up marketing)
- Take charge of and manage pre-opening operational projects.
- Develop and implement Sales and Marketing policies and procedures.
- Entertain potential and current customers based on business priorities, including the ability to travel and work off-peak hours.
- Manage Sales Director and Reservations Agent
- Maintain awareness of the market and local competitors, and share market developments, customer trends, and industry intel.
**Required skills and experience**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior position leading a sales function in a luxury independent establishment in the South of France, covering global sales
- Very strong follow-up, organizational skills, and leadership skills.
- Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellente communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with presenting both virtually and in person to every level within the organization, and externally to clients.
- Takes initiative, is a team player, personable, discreet, and reliable.
- Strong project management skills
- Data-driven, agile team player with creative solutions.
- Impeccable presentation
- Extensive network of contacts and excellent knowledge of the luxury and lifestyle segments and South of France
- Perfect commands of English and French
