In 2021, Nexans generated 6.1 billion euros in standard sales.- **Position**: **SHIFT Modelling Project manager** **Organization** - Function : SHIFT Modelling Project manager - Industry : Electrification / Offshore Wind / Submarine Interconnections - Country : France - Location : Paris/La Défense - regular travels to Norway / USA - Supervisor : CTO Subsea & Land Systems (Straight line) and VP Sales & Marketing SLS (Dotted line) **Context** - Nexans Subsea & Land systems activity is currently scaling up its activities due to the boom of the Offshore Wind industry and raising needs for submarine interconnections. - The scale up is done alongside several axis: - An increase in the size & number of industrial & vessels assets - A move toward new Geographies (USA in particular) - A growing size of the managed projects (500m€ to 1b€) - A move toward more added value services to our clients - This scale up implies a deep transformation of the organisation, enabling the management of larger & more complex operations - The transformation is split into several workstreams with high stack and transversal setups. These streams cover a broad range of topics such as, but not limited to, major CAPEX implementation, key deal capture plans, cost right sizing, etc. - Major investments have been made over the last four years for a total of about 650m€ and further investments are expected **Purpose** The purpose of the position is to level up SLS capability to fully utilise the SHIFT project modelling methodology: - Focus on the projects generating the bast value for risk equation - Optimize the asset & teams load to reach a global optima of SLS from an EBITDA, FCF and risk stand point The SHIFT Modelling project manager drives the choice of scenarios to be run, gathers information across functions, proposes alternatives to the management and support the capture plans construction. **Areas of responsibility** **Support Management choice of projects to targets in order to optimize G&T profitability & risk profile** - Gather information accross the organisation (Industrial, technical, legal, commercial, tendering, Financial, etc.) - Propose the scenarios to be run - Run the scenarios - Coordinate with other functions to warrant scenario consistency - Support SLS Management team in the choice of base case & backup scenarios - Support the construction of differentiated offers at capture plan engineering & deployment stage - Gather public information about competitors load, capabilities and capacities (from internal & external data sources) - Strong interactions with SLS management team - Support E3 model implementation **Support E3 model deployment (focus on top line induced impact)** - Support E3 implementation at G&T - Links project load & project scenarios with E3 impact on G&T - Support work to develop the E3 model with G&T (Strategy, method, etc.) **Support work on G&T value proposition improvement** - Identify value chain moves / services opportunities based on the project pipeline & market information - Identify gap to fill in to level up G&T offer - Propose solutions to get the missing bricks (M&A, organic development, etc.) **Expected results** - Win the targeted “Must win” projects - Warrant a short & long term healthy project portfolio for G&T, displaying the proper equilibrium between financial performance (Cash & EBITDA) vs. Risk level take. - Warrant on time & top quality decision making material for management to choose the bets scenarios based on a holistic perspective of G&T financials, risks and operations **Position sizing** - The position enables seamless decision making on one of the most important management topic driving G&T performance at short & log term - The scenarios & analysis produced have a potential yearly impact >100m€ EBITDA - The work on E3 and Value offer has a strong impact on G&T future performance - Transversal management with no direct report at this stage **Required skills and qualifications** **Profile** - Senior profile from consulting firm - Strong financial data analytics skills **Motivation** - Is self-driven, interested in learning new concepts and ideas; is impact oriented, has self drive to identify key issues/root causes and develop solutions; sets high aspiration for himself and others around him **Expertise/credential** - Capability to understand in depth scenario implications from a
