**About the job**:
**Major/Essential Job Duties**
- Strong knowledge of the Project Finance - Commercial Real Estate markets in those geographies, clients involved (industrial and financial sponsors), financial advisors, lenders, and other related relevant players.
- Origination of Commercial Real Estate transactions across various markets; manage & develop a relationship with clients, lenders, advisors, etc.
- Good understanding of the subsectors sectors (hotels, logistics, etc); understanding of international financial markets.
- Strong experience in the origination and execution (from the origination to financial closing) of Project Finance - Commercial Real Estate deals including among others: financial structuring, financial modelling, managing Due Diligence process, financing documentation, credit analysis, etc.
- Strong ability to understand, produce and negotiate complex project finance documentation (term sheets, commitment letters, credit agreements and others) and different type of complex financing structures.
- Direct underwriting, Due Diligence, and Financial Analysis of deals.
- Review of market material for client pitches.
- Support and guidance in the preparation of Information Memos and Lender Presentations for lead role opportunities.
- Managing the diligence process from a technical and legal standpoint and overseeing the structuring process through deal closing.
- Overseeing portfolio management and information reporting as well as due accounting of deals.
**Level of Complexity and Risk Involved**
Complex responsibilities, with a critical component being the overseeing of work performance by junior team members as well as direct responsibilities for both origination and execution of deals. As for all member of the Project Finance - Commercial Real Estate team he/she will need a very strong understanding of underwriting and risk analysis.
**S**cope of Duties**
- Close interaction with teams in the global BBVA organization and, specifically, with member of the credit and risk teams.
- Understanding of financial modeling.
- Oral and written presentations for client marketing and internal purposes
- Client meeting participation with a strong focus for deal origination.
- Responsible for overseeing of all internal process as well as deal loan closing process.
- Identification and use of research and tools.
- Active participation in all due diligence and legal process when related to specific transactions.
**Skills, knowledge, and abilities/competencies**
- Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field, engineering, business school.
- 12+ years of experience working in corporate and/or investment banking related to Project Finance - Commercial Real Estate and/or experience in firms / funds related to Commercial Real Estate.
- Strong knowledge of the Project Finance-Commercial Real Estate markets in those geographies, clients involved (industrial and financial sponsors), financial advisors, lenders, and other related relevant players.
- Formal credit training a strong plus.
- Fluent in English a must.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team international environment and under tight deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate and negotiate with clients, lenders, internal departments, etc.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, financial modeling and DCF analysis.
- Proficient in ALL Microsoft Office Tools, etc.
- Structured and organized; strong analytical skills.
- Well balanced team player.
