**Mission**:
In collaboration with BIOASTER's partners and scientific teams, seek & evaluate opportunities, organize and support the design of innovative projects.
In collaboration with the legal manager, negotiate the contract, financing and return on investment of projects with stakeholders.
During project implementation, identify valuable products and results, their potential market and methods of promotion.
**Main activities**:
Identify business opportunities and conduct scouting according to the BIOASTER scientific offer and technological development abilities.
Manage the existing portfolio of partners/prospects.
Target, prospect and initiate contacts with partners or clients of interest, particularly in the antimicrobials, infectious diseases and life sciences fields (including biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical, veterinary & food industries).
Organize and realize meetings with people of interest to build strong relationships and ensure BIOASTER representation in congresses.
Identify markets and private partners or clients with whom BIOASTER's results, scientific expertise or technologies can be valorised &/or developed.
Set up business partnerships between BIOASTER and players in the academic and private sectors in the field of treatment of infectious diseases and antimicrobial drug development.
Participate in the communication strategy and the selection of associated tools.
Promote BIOASTER's assets through various appropriate communication channels.
**Requirements**:
**Competences and experience**:
**Dual competence**: Life sciences (microbiology and infectious diseases) and Business development (prospection and negotiation). Minimum master level in both competence.
The job needs to understand ins and outs of developpements in the field of microbiology. Knowledge in omic approaches, predictive models or integration of experimental data will be a plus.
5 to 8 years of experience in business development in an industrial environment, consulting company, or SME
Knowledge and understanding of funding and promotion methods for public-private partnerships.
Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English are essential for this role. International experience is a plus.
