Together, we form a dynamic, committed team that meets challenges with passion and determination **SWEN Capital Partners is seeking to reinforce its SWEN Blue Ocean team by hiring an Investment Director (F/M) in its Paris office.** SWEN Blue Ocean invests in innovations that help regenerate ocean biodiversity and achieve SDG14, with the aim to deliver both systemic impact and competitive market returns. The team launched the Blue Ocean fund in September 2021 at the IUCN's World Conservation Congress, in scientific partnership with Ifremer, France's leading ocean science institute. The fund invests in solutions to overfishing, solutions to ocean pollution and marine-based solutions to climate change. Blue Ocean closed at EUR 170 million and its investment strategy focuses on Series A investments, mainly in Europe. It was recognized as a Top Innovative Fund for our Future by UpLink / World Economic Forum, and by Harvard who wrote and teaches a case study about the fund. SWEN Capital Partners is now raising SWEN Blue Ocean 2 with a target size of EUR 300 million. The Investment Director will report to Christian Lim and Olivier Raybaud, Managing Directors of the SWEN Blue Ocean team. She / he will work with a team of nine investment professionals with international experience, highly committed and collaborative. A combination of work from home and in the office is possible. Avantages: - RTT - Tickets restaurants - Intéressement - Plan d'épargne entreprise - Chèques cadeaux - Remboursement des transports à 75% - Mutuelle Your main tasks: - Conduct market intelligence. - Originate investment opportunities. - Analyze investment opportunities, including market, financial and impact analysis. - Execute deals, manage due diligence, negotiation and run the internal investment process. - Monitor portfolio companies for value creation, including through serving as board member. - Create exit opportunities for portfolio companies. - Execute exit opportunities, including by running the internal exit process and actively contribute to negotiations (terms and conditions). - Actively contribute to the team’s impact and recognition in the Ocean Innovation Ecosystem. - Support fundraising Profile required: - A minimum of 8 years of work experience including a minimum of 5 years in private equity - Venture Capital (Independent VC or Corporate VC) or Growth Equity - spanning origination, execution, monitoring and exit. - Board level experience. - Master’s degree, business administration and / or science or engineering degree valued. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills. - Entrepreneurial mindset. - Passionate about environmental impact and motivated to regenerate ocean biodiversity. - International and multicultural experience. - Willingness to travel internationally. - Team player and solid interpersonal skills. - English is needed, other languages will be valued.
