Part of Hermès group since 1976, John Lobb has a retail presence established in over twenty stores in ten countries and partners with highly selective retailers around the world.

**The Position : Regional Director, Europe & Middle East**

Reporting to the International Commercial Director, the commercial structure of John Lobb is currently composed of four Regional Sales Directors: USA out of New York, Asia out of Hong Kong, Japan out of Tokyo, EME out of Paris.

Position based in Paris.

**Context**:
Europe & Middle East is a key strategic market for John Lobb generating a strong part of the brand turnover across different channels:

- Directly Operated Stores: 3 stores in Paris, London, Berlin and the Factory shop in Northampton.
- Concession Partners who manage free-standing John Lobb stores in Dubai and Moscow
- Independent commission agents managing the multi-brand stores in Italy
- Wholesale key accounts
- E-commerce for UK and EU

The opportunity for growth within this region is first and foremost to develop and optimise the existing business through a combination of excellent team leadership and inspired merchandising ability in both retail and wholesale distribution.

Our ambition is also to develop the business in the region through new opportunities, opening new stores or corner in adequation with the commercial strategy of the brand.

**Specific Responsibilities of the role**:
Responsible for all distribution channels in the region, the Regional sales Director will lead the retail team, agent, concessions and partner towards performance and excellence in customer experience.
- Direct management of 6 store managers and a wholesale manager.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies across all sales channels (wholesale/own retail and digital) according to company goals to accelerate growth
- Plan and develop a Retail Strategy which includes expansion, targeting key market locations opening or expanding current locations
- Build and further develop the brand wholesale portfolio with high standards of expectation
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- International travel within the market to ensure a presence and to support relationships with stakeholders and teams
- Elaborate and present budgets
- Manage and track financial goals
- Close monitoring of commercial performances and activities, produce reports for senior management
- Execute streamlining of product assortments across all consumer touchpoints
- Implement product/client segmentation defined by the company & monitor local collections
- Conduct market research and analyse threats and opportunities including growth and business development.
- Understand and keep updated on market trends and conditions
- Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (communication, customer service, Finance, product, etc)
- Be an integral part of the Commercial leadership team

This role requires strong track records in people management and the ability to operate both personally and professionally at the highest levels of the retail trade.
- _Languages _- Fluent written and spoken English and French are a requirement. Italian would be a positive advantage.
- _Education_ - evidence of high-level ability in both numeracy and literacy will be sought. A degree would be a clear advantage as evidence of learning and thinking ability.
- Background Experience :_
- You have 6-7 years’ prior work experience in menswear, fashion accessories, jewellery, footwear etc. A luxury market positioning would be most appropriate.
- Accurate knowledge of distribution in Europe & Middle East.
- Fine understanding of visual merchandising.
- Expertise in customer service and retail excellence.
- Extensive sales people management experience.
- Experience of building a budget from the base upwards

- An honest and open-minded communicator with good presentation skills.
- Strong sensitivity to fashion and interest into high quality product, handcrafted knowhow and environmental awareness.
