Cdi Junior Leather Goods Designer

**Position**:
Within the Men Artistic Direction of Christian Dior Couture, you will report to the Head of Leather Goods, based in Paris. You will manage the design of your category while remaining consistent with the Christian Dior Men’s Collection as a whole.

Your responsibilities include managing the design process, under the supervision of a Senior Designer and/or Head Designer, in consideration of both the seasonal brief set by the Artistic Director and the collection brief set by the collection merchandising department, from concept to industrialization of finished collections.

**Job responsibilities**:
You will support the work team in following missions:

- Develop innovative designs consistent with the briefs set by the commercial team and Artistic Director.
- Understand the Christian Dior Men Customer and brand positioning, including self-directed market research in both Dior and competitor stores.
- Work cross-functionally and timely with Design to determine style, materials, colour and to develop a successful product.
- Operate within the given design calendar timelines and ensure that all Design boards are done timely and meet the calendar deadlines set by the Design Director and Head of Leather Goods.
- Collaborate closely with other design team members to help design a cohesive collection that sits well with the runway show.
- Research & source materials and components for feedback and inspiration.
- Identify opportunities and make suggestions for process improvement.

**Profile**:
Graduate with a degree in The Arts, Fashion, or specifically Leather Goods or Product Design, you have a solid experience of a minimum of 3 years, in designing Leather Goods for a luxury fashion or high end company, ideally with a significantly large collection. You have experience and are comfortable with taking on projects and launching products independently.

We are looking for someone with an eye for detail and who considers functionality as key throughout the design process. You have a strong sense of colour, fashion, product & trend. Furthermore, you have a strong knowledge of design & product development process, especially in the very specific world of Leather Goods.

You must work well in a team and posses a collaborative nature to ensure design continuity throughout both the catwalk and commercial collections.

You are an organised and independent person, especially in terms of time management.

You have strong written & verbal communication skills, with a good team spirit.

You will be required to travel a small percentage of your working time.

You must have competent skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign.

You are fluent in English + French and Italian would be a plus.
