Project Manager

As a Project Manager in the Energy and Industrial Projects Team you will be responsible for supporting our branches in EMEA to be successful, working closely with Operations, Sales and Energy teams to grow and develop our Energy business in EMEA. You will be heavily involved in seeking, bidding and winning new opportunities in Projects throughout the EMEA Region consisting of over-sized and heavy lift shipments both to project and manufacturing sites

You will also be acting as a Key Account Manager for some of our Key Accounts organising Project and General cargo shipments, both inbound to manufacturing sites and outbound to project sites.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Increase Revenue and GP line from Energy Accounts in designated country.
- Increase GP line managed by the EMEA Energy Support Team.
- Source Logistics Solutions for project and general cargo for RFQ’s received from OIA existing and targeted customers.
- Be responsible for preparing RFQ response for Energy Accounts in Germany
- Act as the key operations point of contact between the company and customers with special focus on Energy Vertical market.
- Develop new relationships with prospective customers as well as maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Work with Branch Manager, Business Development Manager and Energy Team to achieve company and vertical targets in France..
- Support the EMEA Operations Team be successful in their Project opportunities.
- Oversee and supervise operations from start to finish of appointed scope of work to ensure smooth running of operations and in compliance with company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Project manage sensitive shipments, as directed.
- Ensure that Projects secured by the EMEA Support Team and executed by the Support Team are done in compliance with company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure hand-over of projects secured by the Support Team and executed by Branch Operations is done to achieve smooth operations at time of shipments.
- Ensure all quotes are recorded in Cargowise One.
- Ensure shipments are correctly recorded in Cargowise One and billed on time.
- Develop and sustain relationship with new & existing vendors by sourcing, initiating, and attending regular meetings with trucking companies, port agents, shipping lines, carriers, marine surveyors.
- Attend customer visits as required to maintain and develop relationship with designated accounts.
- Supervise operational activities relating to Special Projects and / or other customer bookings / orders to ensure all requirements are fulfilled.
- Perform negotiation on BIDs & Project inquiries with vendors, customers, and agents for our Energy vertical business.
- Ensuring project operations are being executed in accordance with the company processes and procedures as set by Vertical Leadership.
- Support local requests in a timely manner. Develop the skillset of local teams through offering advice, guidance, and training in relation to matters pertaining to project cargo and related activities.

**What we need from you**:

- Extensive technical expertise / experience on project cargo (quoting, planning and execution) including specialized containers, ocean breakbulk, air charters and OOG haulage.
- Excellent and proactive communication & negotiation skills [in general air/ocean operations, with related project cargo forwarding experience] with management of diverse work groups and financial acumen.
- Innovative and constantly seeking improvement on current processes
- Able to work to deadlines and with high attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skillset.
- Take ownership and initiatives at work, ambitious, self-motivated, and result-oriented.
