**Job Summary**:
The Mechanical Engineer will participate in the entire process, from the design and development of mechanical components of new or improved techniques, processes and products. He/she will provide innovative, cost-effective and reliable solutions for the design, development, manufacture and maintenance of new or improved sensor products that meet the needs of the business. He/she will work with a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of a project manager.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:

- He/she will develop and maintain designs, models, and other documentation necessary to define, produce, and maintain products, taking into account manufacturing methods and meeting applicable internal and external standards.
- He/she will document design decisions to meet all product requirements including functional, design for X, regulatory, etc.
- He/she will design, develop, test, qualify and maintain the mechanical portion of products, meeting product and project requirements, in close collaboration with other disciplines and functions.
- He/she will participate in the identification of product requirements and risks and the definition of risk control plans.
- He/she will develop and maintain mechanical drawings, which may include 3D models using the CAD system, develop and maintain bill of materials.
- He/she will verify the design using analytical or finite element models or physical testing and document the results of verification tests.
- He/she will work with the designer and CAD technicians to design, fabricate and test prototypes and associated tooling.
- He/she will define test procedures, test performance. Perform engineering and qualification testing and document test results.
- He/she will identify and keep abreast of new technologies to maintain our technical leadership position.
