**Chief Risk Consulting Officer Marine and Specialty**

Location: Europe

The Chief Risk Consulting Officer, Marine and Specialty (CRCO Specialty) role is embedded in the global AXA XL Risk Consulting Team which consists of more than 400 risk experts in 23 countries. You will be a member of the Risk Consulting Leadership Team and report to the Global Head of Risk Consulting. With your in-depth knowledge of risk consulting tools and processes you will be the interface to the Global Chief Underwriting Office (GCUO), specifically in the areas of Marine, Aerospace, and Specialty Niche. You will be working very closely with the Risk Consulting Regional Heads for the Americas, the UK as well as for Europe and APAC to steer the implementation of innovative, high-quality services and to oversee the development of clear and concise organizational and operational rules and guidelines.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Your key mission is to ensure the delivery of consistent high-quality and efficient services to all risk consulting clients. For this you will be closely collaborate with the Regional Heads, Country Managers and the Transversal Regional Managers.
- You will be working closely with the global Chief Underwriting Officers for Specialty to fully understand their servicing needs and ensure that proper staffing levels exists in Risk Consulting to fulfill their servicing needs.
- You will be driving innovation and process improvement initiatives throughout the specialty risk consulting organization. For this you will be working closely with the data science and analytic team as well as the natural hazard and climate change team.
- You will ensure that relevant rules and guidelines are properly written, accessible, easy to understand and regularly updated.
- You will be working closely with the Technical Center Manager to ensure that specialty Risk Consultants are properly trained, and that risk engineering rules and guidelines are aligned with the GCUO’s needs.
- Through close collaboration with the Product & Process Team you ensure highly efficient risk engineering service delivery.
- Close collaboration with the DCP is required to ensure that new innovations are embedded into our digital strategy to provide better tools to consultants, better data for underwriters and better service for clients.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

- The most important qualification for this role is a proven track record of excellent teamwork with outstanding communication and presentation skills which go beyond business lines, geography and team boarders. Collaboration in a matrix structure is key for this role.
- You have an in-depth knowledge of Marine/ Specialty Risk Consulting Tools and Processes and have worked in a Risk Consulting or underwriting organization.
- You understand and fully embrace the importance of data and analytics.
- You have a proven track record in project management.
- You are used to working autonomously, you are curious and a highly motivated self-starter. You will continuously look out for new opportunities to improve specialty risk consulting services through innovation and improved tools and processes.
- The role is global. Thus, you are available for occasional travels - approximately 20%.
- You are fluent in English - other languages are a plus.
