**Our team and mission**
ESA Navigation leads the design, development, qualification and R&D of world-class EU programmes Galileo and EGNOS and is shaping the future of satellite navigation with ESA programmes NAVISP, FutureNAV and Moonlight, focused on innovation, competitiveness and in-orbit demonstrations.
The Strategy, Programme and Coordination Office (NAV-C) of the Navigation Directorate, based in ESA Headquarters in Paris, is responsible for the strategy, communication and outreach and overall coordination off all activities and partnerships of the Directorate of Navigation.
We are a team of driven professionals, based in ESA’s HQ in Paris, who work in close cooperation with colleagues in other ESA establishments, namely ESTEC (NL) and ESA Office in Toulouse (FR). One specific activity of the Office is the management and implementation of the internal and external communication and outreach strategy of ESA Navigation, in close cooperation with ESA’s Communication Department. Our aim is to inform and engage the public and ESA’s stakeholders on the impact on satellite navigation on society and economy, to report on the Directorate’s achievements and to promote ESA’s Navigation priorities across a variety of audiences.
You will be joining a growing communication team, where your creative ideas and input will contribute to a variety of projects.- **Field(s) of activity/research for the traineeship**
- General implementation support to the internal and external outreach and communication strategy and its various projects of ESA Navigation;
- Support to the organisation of events, such as NAV Day, ESTEC Open Days; Industry Days, stakeholders’ events and ad-hoc events as relevant;
- Drafting of key messages, concept notes, general presentations, Lines to take, in line with key information, strategy and vision of the Directorate;
- Conception and drafting of NAV visuals and branding material, in cooperation with ESA Branding and ESA Production;
- Support in conception and creation of promotional material, such as videos, animations and graphic.

You should have just completed, or be in the final year of your master’ s degree in Communication Management/Event Management/International Relations/Science Communication.**Additional requirements**
You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to work in a multicultural environment, both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience of working in international teams can be considered an asset. Your motivation, overall professional perspective and career goals will also be explored during the later stages of the selection process.You should also have:
- Affinity with satellite navigation, PNT and GNSS and/or system engineering domains.
