Bonds Underwriter (M/F)

As a Bond Underwriter you are part of a highly motivated team of professionals, together we develop tailor-made solutions for our clients. In doing so, you will make a significant contribution to achieving our corporate goals and give our clients the confidence of being covered by a specialist partner.

The position will be based in Paris and you will report to the Bonds Portfolio Manager.

Your new role
- Active support of the successful implementation of our goals in new and existing business, considering our underwriting standards, work instructions and processes
- Coordination and support of international insurance solutions
- Systemic recording and evaluation of risks with the given accuracy and participation in pricing as well as preparation of offers
- Portfolio maintenance and analysis using existing IT systems
- Financial monitoring and renewal of commitments on a large portfolio of clients
- Economic and financial analysis of customers or prospects
- Preparation of the risk report and presentation in English of the largest commitments to credit committee
- Support of internal planning processes, e.g., through project work
- Preparation of risk peer reviews to promote and develop line of business knowledge
- Establishing and maintaining close relationships with our business partners and colleagues within QBE
- Contributing to market and competition monitoring as well as to the development of sales strategies and marketing activities

About you
- Master’s Degree in finance (University/Business Schools)
- You have an independent and team-oriented approach to work and are willing to take on responsibility
- You are familiar with MS Office, especially Excel
- Your English skills are good, and you speak ideally another European language in addition to French
- You have strong analytical skills, including the ability to think outside the box
- Ideally, you have very good interpersonal skills and the ability to build consensus and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- High level of reliability and quick thinking
