**Financial institutions Analyst**
**Paris**

As a Barclays Financial Institutions Analyst, you will take a leading role in the analysis of our NBFI Portfolio, specifically Private Equity credit exposure as well as being actively involved in formulating a fundamental risk appetite to clients, and sanctioning of both exposures and limits within acceptable risk parameters. You will be in frequent communication with business units, and will regularly communicate with other stakeholders in order to communicate risk levels and appetite.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Quantitative and qualitative analysis of counterparty credit quality, risk, and exposure
- Maintaining a portfolio of counterparties, attend client due diligence meetings, and write-up of annual credit reviews including proposing suitable limits
- Provisioning of challenge to new credit proposals while maintaining good partnership with Front Office
- Production of ad-hoc portfolio or sector reviews
- Developing and improving of management information

**What we’re looking for**:

- Understanding of credit risk and financial institutions (banks, funds, hedge funds, private equity)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare written analysis for NBFI clients, and ability to present
- Analytical and technical skills balancing attention to detail and big picture decision making

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Knowledge of additional European language(s)
- Experience working in an international, multicultural environment
