**Role Overview**

**We are looking for**:

- An engineer at the Chemistry and Process interface to join the Organic Chemistry and Process Development department of the Solvay Research and Innovation Center in Lyon, within the SPIDO team - a Research and Development laboratory in the field of specialty organic chemistry.
- An experienced researcher whose mission will be to boost the innovation of the Business Units of the Solvay group by enabling the scaling up of laboratory synthesis routes and rapid access to pilot-scale prototypes.
- A scientist passionate about contributing to innovative research projects, at the frontier of industrialization and commercialization of innovations and solutions designed by R&D teams.

**We count on you for**:

- Assume the role of project manager, integrating the technical and organizational aspects
- Build new projects using multi-disciplinary skills (Chemistry, Process, Analysis, Applications)
- Develop a global process vision for the department's various projects, from synthesis to product isolation
- Support the evolution of the department's activities and co-build a technological roadmap to offer innovative solutions and technologies to internal/external partners
- Provide Process expertise in the field of Chemical Reaction Engineering / Agitation and Mixing
- Increase the skills of the members of the department in the systemic approach to the development of chemical processes (managers and technicians)

**You will bring**:

- An experience of more than 10 years in R&D after an engineering degree or a doctorate in Process
- An interest in optimization and scale-up in R&D, and experience confirmed by a few industrial transfer successes
- An attraction for organic chemistry
- Knowledge of ASPEN-type process simulation tools
