As part of BV Solutions M&O's strong international development, we are looking for a Structural Engineer to strengthen our team in Nantes (France).

BV Solutions M&O is a leading provider of marine engineering and services, providing engineering, inspection services, site supervision and project support.

Our clients are ship owners and shipyards, oil companies and offshore engineering companies. Our office in France has 40 engineers and a turnover of around 5 M€.

**Express your talents**

You will be working in the Propulsion Team specialised in shaft alignment analysis and noise & vibration measurements, your main tasks will be to:

- Perform shaft alignment analysis which correspond to:

- Model/mesh the system composed of stern tube, shaft line and main engine using a finite element software.
- Compute displacements and flexibility matrix using a finite element software.
- Model the shaft line from propeller to main engine in order to optimise the bearing positions using our inhouse software.
- Report drafting.
- Follow the shaft line installation.

You will join a multidisciplinary team of calculation and measurement engineers in the naval field.

You will participate in the development of BVS' know-how and skills in line with market needs.

You can progress to a position of project manager for shaft alignment studies or senior engineer.

Graduated from a major engineering school with a specialization in Naval Engineering, Structural Calculation or Naval Architecture, you have successfully completed your first professional experience in these fields, ideally within a design office or an engineering company.

You have knowledge of naval architecture, structure, regulatory calculations and design.

You demonstrate skills in:

- Structural mechanics: femap
- Naval architecture
- Knowledge of maritime field

You are dynamic, rigorous, organized and endowed with a good team spirit.

Your English is fluent both orally and in writing.
