Postdoctoral Position (Full-time) - Molecular biology Scientist

**What you will do**
- Develop and optimize an in-silico / bio-informatic model to quantify epigenetic DNA biomarkers
- Develop and execute in vitro digital-PCR multiplexing assays to simultaneously quantify multiple biomarkers
- Validate multiplexing assays following internal process of the company
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance screen capabilities and assay performance
- Stay updated with scientific literature and industry trends related to assay technologies, novel drug modalities, and drug discovery
- Represent department in multi-disciplinary project teams to present research results and provide scientific and technical support
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to enable project progression

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Doctorate degree (PhD)

**Preferred Qualifications**: - PhD in Molecular Biology or Genetic Engineering with strong expertise in bio-informatic or a related field, (a relevant postdoctoral experience is preferred but not mandatory)
- Expertise in PCR with an interest to digital-PCR and Next Generation Sequencing
- Expertise in genetic engineering / synthetic biology (restriction enzyme, CRISPER-Cas based technology)
- Experience with data analysis and visualization software platforms (e.g., R, Prism)
- Experience wih Python and Linux server environment would be a strong plus
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a flexible team-oriented environment

**Recruitment process**

1st step: Initial screening with the head of R&D (CSO and/or CEO) of the company CGenetix

2nd step: Visio-conference interview with Principal investigator / Research Head department at LUMC university

4th step: Visio-conference interview with Team Research department at LUMC university

5th step: Reference Checks, contract proposal
