**Main responsibilities**:
Reporting to Jessica (our VP Product), you will be in charge of all the data and analytics of the company, including:

- ** Data strategy**: How to structure our data ? Where to get it from ? How to display it and make it accessible ? How to make non-data people autonomous in their analysis ? How to make sure every data customer is happy ?
- ** Analytics**: What are the right KPI definitions ? What are the right dashboards for the company? What’s a good deep-dive ? How to manage your team so they can deliver these things with high-quality standards ? How does all of this differ for different teams, such as Marketing, Sales, Finance, or Product ? And above all, how do we make sure the data team is having an impact on the business and product ?
- ** Data Science**: What are the best algorithms for Search and Recommendations ? How do we embed personalization ? How do we connect different data sources to create amazing data products for our customers ?
- ** Data/Analytics Engineering**:How do we create a reliable and strong data platform ? How do we create a robust and actionable data model ?

You will manage the teams of data analysts, data scientists and data engineers/analytics engineers. Note that while data scientists and analysts will report to you, they will be embedded in their respective business/product teams, which will be their primary team.

You will be ultimately in charge of hiring them, training them, coaching them, coordinating them, and creating a culture of data science and analytics excellence across the company. You will collaborate with business leaders across the organization to make it happen.

**Requirements**:

- 10 years of experience in analytics, data science, data engineering and leadership positions

Top analysis and analysis management skills:

- Experience leading the data strategy of a company
- Ability to break down and analyze complex problems
- Proven track record of tackling all types of analysis and data problems found in tech companies, including proper AB-testing, multi-armed bandit, tracking, dashboarding, BI engineering, advanced analytics etc.
- Proven track record of successfully leading a data science team that deals with complex data science problems such as ML for search and recommendations
- Experience working with vendors for all data needs, from tracking to search.
- Ability to scale a data team by implementing processes & standards and by handling taxonomy, data documentation and tools deployment
- Experience working closely with the data engineering team. Experience handling them is a plus.
- Ability to be hands-on and to deep dive on some data projects

Management:

- Proven track record of building A+ analytics teams
- Experience leading a matrix organization, where most of your reports are allocated into other teams.
- Experience building progress tracks for a large organization, where every member contributes and also grows.
- Strong communication skills to manage relationships horizontally, downwards, and upwards.
- Ability to advocate and champion data literacy and fluency across the functional areas of the organization

Location : Preferably in Paris (France), but open in Spain, UK, and Germany
