**Role Overview**

**We are looking for**:

- As a member of the Novecare Process and technology team, a part of the European Technology center, you will manage a team of technicians working on the new products development for the Novecare global business unit of Solvay.
- In this role, you will identify on time, innovative solutions that are technically adapted to the needs of your customers (internal and external), which are economically viable and in line with the Group's Sustainable Development policy, resulting in the commercialization of new products.

**We count on you for**:

- Lead and take part in laboratory experiments, pilot trials and plant trials
- Review and analyze the results of experimental programs/plant trials and issue detailed reports
- Propose process improvements in agreement with the industrial and plant teams
- Propose innovative solutions to match the high demanding customer’s requirements and propose ideas for the innovation pipe
- Keep abreast of the state of the art in the process operations field and use this knowledge to propose innovative solutions that can enrich the innovation pipe of Novecare.
- Ensure the efficient and continuous improvement of operations in your laboratory.
- Follow and enforce Environment, Health and safety guidelines for you and your team’s activities and ensure proper housekeeping of your laboratory.
- Participate in the development of your team members by ensuring they have the necessary support to develop and grow (performance development reviews, training programs).
- Ensure the correct supervision of new arrivals in your team including temps, students and new technicians.
- Train and coach colleagues within your own domain/expertise

**You will bring**:

- Engineer and / or doctor in chemical engineering.
- At least 3 years experience as process engineer with deep knowledge in liquid and solid formulations, reactors and separation. Knowledge in process engineering simulation software such as Aspen.
- Organic Chemical processes
- Ability to handle different aspect of the process: reaction, mixing and separation
- Ability to manage project from development phase (basic data acquisition and scale up) to industrial phase
- Ability to quickly analyze data and propose feasible solutions
- Able to effectively create a technical network with key expertise within the group and with external partners
- Good communication skills, written and oral, in an international and multi-disciplinary environment (lab technicians, analysts, process teams, project leader),
