**Our Strategy & Operations Function**

**Context**

The Strategy & Operations function at Pennylane currently consists of a team of 10 highly skilled professionals who are embedded within various departments, such as Finance, Sales, and Customer Success. While these individuals are dedicated to their respective teams, they collaborate closely with other departments to drive the company's growth and success by working on a wide range of initiatives. Some examples of the missions undertaken include:

- Defining effective customer acquisition strategies and processes with the Sales Leadership.
- Working with the Success Department to optimize product adoption, identify upsell opportunities, and provide outstanding customer support.
- Streamlining billing processes and conducting in-depth performance analyses within the Finance team.

In the near future, as Pennylane continues to grow, we plan to expand the Strategy & Operations function by embedding professionals within our Business Units, also known as Tracks. These individuals will work closely with product managers to develop tailored products for specific client segments, such as accounting firms and SMEs.

Additionally, we will have Strategy & Operations professionals who manage strategic initiatives at a central level, including international expansion efforts.

**Operations**: Ensuring that everything is executed according to plan and making necessary adjustments when needed. This includes designing efficient processes, improving and automating existing ones, establishing rituals to monitor team progress, and analyzing performance.

**Cross-team alignment**: Fostering a trusting environment to ensure alignment with key stakeholders from other teams. This involves providing visibility to leadership through assertive and effective communication, facilitating collaboration, and managing stakeholder expectations.
