**Job Description Summary**: Role Summary/Purpose
- Reporting to the OFW Global Supply Chain Leader, Offshore Wind, the Supply Chain Planning & Control Leader will be responsible for the strategic development of materials management activities across the Offshore Wind Supply Chain, with a particular focus on end-to-end materials flow (from supplier to customer), inventory management, cycle time and capacity planning. The Supply Chain Planning & Control Leader will lead the Master Scheduling function. The Supply Chain Planning & Control Leader will drive process, tools and metrics development by providing guidance and policy to ensure standard planning practices are in place throughout the factory planning, warehouse/inventory control and procurement functions reporting the Global Manufacturing and Global Procurement & Supplier Management respectively. The Supply Chain Planning & Control Leader will ensure the integration and the readiness of the customized Engineering Bill of Material with a frozen design on time, so that customer demand can be met considering supplier and manufacturing lead times.
**Essential Responsibilities**
- Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives and contribute to the business supply chain strategy and performance. Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term and medium-term planning, as well as supporting the Global Procurement & Supplier Management team in driving short term line of balance to enable global supply chain to fully meet customer commitments.
- Coordinate across the Offshore Wind global supply chain, our sites, and our suppliers to ensure appropriate and accurate Master Schedules; secure commitment acceptance of Engineering, Global Manufacturing, Global Procurement & Supplier Management, provide guidance and define policy to optimize inventory, cycle time, loading and materials requirements to meet manufacturing schedules and customer expectations, aligned to business financial and other targets.
- Ensure that the Business Strategy and customer plans are fully satisfied by the Global Supply Chain plan and communicate clearly and effectively how this is being achieved.
- Coordinate capacity planning activities in close collaboration with Commercial, Engineering and Global Supply Chain functions to ensure optimal resource utilization. Provides visibility of future demands indicators to the global teams, to ensure effective planning. Provide key inputs to budgets and customer project plans.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Depth knowledge of a range of supply chain planning and control techniques and a working knowledge of international logistics
- Experience of developing and running supply chain and risk review then deploying and controlling action plans to recover & a passion for flawless execution to the customer
- Demonstrable manufacturing experience, with a focus on inventory management, production & shop operations, facilitation, capacity, and materials management practices; lean experience and expertise, costing systems, financial reporting measures; engineering and quality experience.
**Desired Characteristics**
- Experience of operating in a matrix environment with strong relationship-building skills, combined with a clear understanding of global process and transactional flows
- Confident and clear communication skills and someone who is calm under pressure. Needs to be capable at communicating plans and actions at senior level.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, experience of influencing decision-making processes within an operational environment, confidence to approach and work closely with business leaders to achieve project objectives
- Effective change management skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Outstanding analytical skills with ability to identify and explain critical issues.
- Six sigma/lean practitioner expertise is preferred; strong process orientation, and experience of GE manufacturing policies and practices.
- Ability to work effectively across functions, demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
