The External Affairs team delivers C&A’s external communications strategy and ensures our positive corporate reputation and brand image.

Covering media relations in four countries of our Southern Europe market - France, Spain, Portugal and Italy -, the External Affairs Manager is the key point of contact for media inquiries in the market, and acts proactively to build relationships and share C&A’s messages.

There are great development and progression opportunities within this role, and the opportunity to have a strong impact on the existing team and future of the communications team.

**Your Responsibilities At C&A**:

- Establish and develop a great network and close relationships with key economic outlets and journalists in the four countries under C&A’s organization in Southrn Europe (SE market): France, Spain, Portugal and Italy
- Implement the C&A Europe Communication Strategy in the SE market
- Ensure corporate messages are communicated in a clear, timely and effective manner to all relevant internal and external audiences
- Place the Leadership Team in top-tier media for the market and the countries, and seek and evaluate speaker opportunities on relevant executive-level events
- Build dialogue with relevant external stakeholders
- Strengthen the image of C&A in the SE market through continuous messaging with all relevant stakeholder groups
- Support social media communications, in particular LinkedIn communications and the corporate website
- Support the SE headquarters in crisis communication issue

**What We Expect Of You**:

- Completed Master’s degree in Communications, Press and Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
- Strong experience dealing with journalists and media
- At least 10 years of work experience in corporate communications with the focus on external communications
- Fluency in English, French and ideally also good business Spanish language skills
- Highly developed Communication and organizational skills
- Experience with media evaluation methods and monitoring
- Ability to work collaboratively across complex international organizations
