Our StarLIMS team in the EMEA is responsible for the successful marketing, development, implementation, and support of the web based STARLIMS Laboratory Information Management System, the STARLIMS Scientific Data Management System and the STARLIMS Electronic Laboratory Notebook worldwide. You will work with various international StarLIMS teams as well as with clients from the life science, food, chemistry, environment, medicine and forensic fields.

Business Development Representative (BDR)

The job holder will play an essential role in achieving our ambitious goals for customer acquisition and revenue growth. You should enjoy working with colleagues from marketing and sales, making daily calls, generating interest in our software solutions and qualifying potential customers.

Your tasks:

- Responsible for generating, maintaining, and qualifying leads as well as for making phone calls
- Carrying out sales discussions with the help of scripts to inspire and convince potential customers of our products and services
- Contact person for potential interested parties and clarification of the relevant issues
- Maintenance of customer data in Salesforce
- Continuous adaptation and improvement of sales scripts to meet customer needs and interests
- Identification of companies and contacts using the Internet, specialist publications and lists from third-party providers
- E-mail communication with identified leads and provision of marketing materials and follow-up on sales contacts
- Coordination of meetings between sales representatives and potential customers

Your qualifications:

- Joy and experience in conducting cold calls and a proven track record in sales are required
- Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies
- Sales experience in the technical product area is desirable
- Perseverance and persistence
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Degree in science or technology is preferred
